Bath, England's finest Georgian town
Bath is the most complete and best preserved Georgian city in Britain. The Royal Crescent is the crowning glory of Georgian Bath. Designed by John Wood, who also designed our Eagle House. But there are a number of equally spectacular Georgian buildings - the Upper Assembly Rooms and the Circus
The spa was used by the Romans, and the remains of the Roman baths are still there to be seen today, beside the 18th century Pump Room Pulteney Bridge, designed by Robert Adam, spans the River Avon. Built in 1771, from the inside it looks like a road lined with shops.
Eagle House is only 3 miles from Bath so the city is easily accessible to you when you stay here |
