The Cotswolds, easily seen when staying at Eagle House near Bath


Bath is at the southern end of the Cotswolds. The distances are not large, it is only 80 miles from Bath to Stratford-upon-Avon at the northen end. So you can tour the whole of the Cotswolds and the neolithic sites of Wiltshire while you are staying with us at Eagle House.

Stonehenge and other ancient sites

Stonehenge and Avebury are the two most important prehistoric temples in this country and we are ideally situated to visit both of them easily within the day.

 Stonehenge  Stonehenge is about 45 minutes away
 and Avebury just over half an hour.  Avebury

 

 Stanton Drew Stanton Drew Prehistoric Site and stone circle is a few miles south of Bristol, and just over half an  hours drive from Eagle House and has the largest English stone ring (henge) after the outer circle at Avebury.

 

All these sites are an easy drive especially if you ask us for a map and detailed driving instructions.
