"Every bit as good as its other reviews. Family run and it shows in the service. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner and staff. All the rooms have names and not numbers. If you want a double then ask for 'Beech', which is very spacious and has great view over gardens. Young children catered for with toys in lounge and room to run in the grounds. The house is in Bathford, which is an unspoilt hillside village only 5 mins drive from Bath. Great to be able to spend the day in town and then retreat to our countryside base in just minutes! One afternoon we just walked into town along the nearby canal tow path, with picturesque narrow boats and The George Pub, which had GREAT food. There is also food at The Crown Pub at the foot of the village, not quite up to the standard of The George, but honest grub and very welcoming staff. Experienced walkers with a OS map could probably join the Bath Skyline Walk from the village without having to bother with the car at all!"

"This is a perfect B&B. It is in Bathford, just outside Bath and the village is amazing. The Eagle House is huge, beautiful and I loved my room. It was one of the smallest, but it was perfect. I was greeted by their friendly dog and the cat is just as friendly. I highly recommend this B&B to families (they have toys too), couples for a romantic getaway, etc. They are so friendly and have plenty of maps, menus, etc. The drawing room is huge and so warm. I loved walking around and down to the pub for a great meal. I wouldn't think of staying somewhere else in that area. I felt right at home and didn't want to leave."
